Here are some reasons to work with a trained and licensed consultant, how we work together and the due diligence process with the Franchisor.

5 Reasons To Work With a Franchise Consultant

Investing in a franchise is a big decision that requires a lot of money and time. But it’s also very rewarding and the best way to start your own business. Here are five reasons why you shouldn’t do it alone.

1. So Many Options
With over 4,000 franchise systems in the United States, starting the search can feel overwhelming. While there are plenty of great options, not all franchises are a wise investment. Our role is to narrow down the list to the most reputable franchises that perfectly suit your needs.
2. Our Candidates Are Priority
Franchise systems receive countless inquiries daily. However, many of these individuals are merely website form completers and may not be qualified candidates. When we connect you with a franchise, rest assured that we've already vetted you as an exceptional candidate, ensuring you receive top-notch treatment and attention to detail.
3. Advance Intelligence
When you independently apply to a franchise system, you typically have to go through a few steps before obtaining crucial information to assess suitability. With us, much of that essential information is already available to you upfront, ensuring your time in the process is well-utilized.
4. Strategic Connections
When you partner with a consultant like Franchise Heroes and the Quantum Franchise Group, you'll have access to our team of trusted franchise attorneys and business funding experts. We'll ensure that you're introduced to these professionals at the appropriate stage of the process, providing you with the support you need every step of the way.
5. Coaching Through Due Diligence
Once you're introduced to a franchise system, you'll embark on an 8 to 10 step journey. Having a consultant on your team becomes invaluable at this stage, as they can coach and prepare you for each step. Remember, franchises aren't simply sold—they're awarded. Our mission is to ensure that you secure that award!

Here's how we'll work together

Step 2: The Discovery Call
Our process starts with a brief 15-minute discovery call. During this call, you'll get to know Franchise Heroes, and we'll get to know you. We'll explore your industry interests, current financial situation, investment comfort level, long-term aspirations, and the timeline for moving forward once we assist you in finding the ideal franchise for you and your family.
Step 3: The Entrepreneur Assessment
Following our Discovery Call, we'll invite you to complete our Entrepreneurial Assessment. This assessment is designed to gather important information to aid our research. It'll take roughly ten minutes to answer around 30 questions. It's essential to note that this isn't a test, and there are no right or wrong answers. Instead, it's a tool that integrates seven sciences to assist us in determining the best fit for you.
Step 4: The Brand Presentation
Here's where we go to work matching you to perspective Franchises. We'll narrow it down to a list of 6 to 10, which we'll review together during a 1-hour Zoom meeting. During this session, we'll offer a comprehensive overview of each brand, highlighting investment and ROI potential. Finally, we'll work together to prioritize 2-4 brands that align best with your interests. We'll then introduce you to the respective companies to commence your due diligence process.
Step 5: Weekly Strategy Calls
After your introduction to a franchise, we'll guide you through each step, shifting our focus from research to coaching. We'll ensure the process aligns with your needs and schedule weekly 15-minute strategy calls to review progress and prepare for the next steps.
Step 6: Strategic Introductions
As you navigate the due diligence phase with the franchises we introduce, you'll likely require the expertise of a franchise attorney and funding specialist. It's crucial to select professionals who specialize in franchising for the best advice. We have franchise attorneys and funding experts on our team, ready to offer a free consultation to assess your needs and provide assistance tailored to you.

The Due Diligence Process with the Franchisor

After you’re introduced to a franchise, you’ll go through 8 more steps to make sure the franchise is the right fit for you, and you are a right fit for the franchise. We’ll help you through each step to increase your chances of being chosen and getting the franchise you want.

Step 1: Discovery Call with Franchisor
Shortly after the introduction, the franchise will contact you to schedule a quick introductory call. This call is meant for both parties to get to know each other, address any questions, and talk about their process.
Step 2: FDD Delivery & Review
Each franchise is obligated to provide every candidate with a detailed legal document known as the Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD). They'll send it to you for review and then schedule an FDD Review Call to discuss the document and address any questions you may have.
Step 3: Territory & Unit Economics Call
During this call, we'll discuss your territory and collaborate to create a pro-forma Profit & Loss Estimate. This estimate will provide clarity regarding the revenue and profitability potential, helping you make informed decisions about the franchise opportunity.
Step 4: Validation Calls
You'll receive the names and contact details of current franchise owners within the system. It's strongly encouraged, sometimes even required, to have open discussions with these owners about their experiences with the franchise and their financial performance.
Step 5: Executive Call
At this stage, you'll be invited to an Executive Call, sometimes called a Founder's Call. This meeting, conducted by phone or Zoom, allows you to interact with the founder or a senior executive of the company, further solidifying the compatibility between you and the franchise.
Step 6: Discovery Day
As you near the end of the process, you'll receive an invitation to attend Discovery Day, also known as Confirmation Day. Typically held in person at the company headquarters, this event allows you to meet the office staff, gain insights into the company's operations, and prepare to make your final decision.
Step 7: Award Day
If Discovery Day goes smoothly, the franchise will officially award you your territory. You'll receive notification from them, along with a timeframe for accepting the award, signing your Franchise Agreement, and submitting your funds.
Step 8: Training & Opening
Congratulations! You've been awarded your franchise. Next, you'll be scheduled to attend initial training and start preparing for your grand opening.
